What the Boys Wore: Filemon Kid
Secondary to recording our memories here, my blog has been somewhere I've been sharing kid's fashion since the beginning; the majority of us love to dress our little ones (is it just me who prefers it to dressing myself?) and I found myself drawn to brands that were lesser-known but just as beautiful, if not, more so than high street brands because of the extra love and care their creators put into each garment they design.
Over the past few months, I've realised how much I'd love to put myself alongside those other amazing kid's fashion bloggers, such as Meet the Wildes and Make, Do and Push! and how I think I may have discovered my niche. So, for 2018, you can expect a focus towards photography and kid's lookbook-style posts, sharing brands I've fallen in love with, and more of us as a whole family too; I've loved getting in front of the camera myself this past year and secretly know the Mr has too (though a lot of mud, sweat and smarties have been behind every semi-acceptable family portrait).
Filemon Kid are a brand I've unknowingly loved for a couple of years now; a while ago, I spotted a beautiful animal-print onesie on my Instagram feed but for some reason, I couldn't find it anywhere online and sadly accepted it wasn't to be. Recently, I accidentally fell across Filemon Kid again whilst lost amongst the numerous alluring brands of Alex and Alexa and suddenly realised they were the brand who'd created it. After a little digging on their website, I was able to find the onesie I'd been looking for as well as a couple more, and they dropped on my rainy doorstep a few days ago (quite literally, thanks bad delivery men).
The wonderful thing about kid's fashion is that my boy's love their clothes as much as I do; always asking for specific prints that they love and more often than not, mostly appreciating how soft and comfortable and Winter-friendly they are. There's a delight in dressing each tiny boy in something that matches their mighty personality so perfectly. My only wish is that I could grab one of these adorable FK onesies for myself (though I do have a cracking unicorn kigu hanging on the bathroom door, so it's not all bad).
