Farm + Family = One Amazing Day Out at Roves Farm

Back in February of this year, we all took a trip to Roves Farm — The Best Way To Spend a Weekend — and this past weekend we decided to visit again! Last time we visited little A was only 14 months old and wobbly on his feet and littler A (Archie's cousin) was yet to hit that milestone, but this time they were both running around all over the place and it was lovely to have the comparison, and see them interacting with each other (see the vlog for a seriously adorable cuddle). There's only 6 months between the two of them so it's so heartwarming to see them grow so close.

There was quite a large group of us as Mr J's sister and their family decided to meet us there for the day so between us we had kids aged from 14 months up to 10 years and every one of them had a great time tiring themselves out on the indoor and outdoor play area's and visiting and petting the animals. We easily could've spent longer at Roves as there was a tractor ride we hadn't yet done, an empty football pitch (which the boys had a quick game on when we first arrived) and 2 acres of den building area, which I'd somehow missed even though it was our 3rd time visiting!

The last time couple of times we'd visited, the weather hadn't been great so the kids spent most of their time at the indoor soft play but this time, though breezy, it was dry and fairly warm so it was nice to sit outside for most of the day whilst they ran around skipping from apparatus to apparatus. Every time we visit, there seems to either be something new, or something that we'd missed previously and this time we discovered the tunnels by the play area (which A loved) and a small area of decking to see/feed the ducks.

We all had a fab day out and all the kids really enjoyed themselves; I'd highly recommend a visit if you live nearby and have kids of any age, they'll love it! Here's a quick vlog of some of the video I caught of the day to give you a better idea of the surroundings:
