A few months ago, I was delighted to be named PurFlo's Blogger of the Year; PurFlo sell a number of different baby products that are all focused around safe & healthy baby sleep and as a perk of being brand ambassador, I was sent a beautiful breathable nest to review for when baby #2 was born. I was so excited to try out the breathable nest as I'd already heard so many great reviews and as Archie always loved being cocooned as a newborn, I knew baby Blue would probably welcome anything that made him feel snug too. Now we've been using the PurFlo breathable nest since baby was born, and we can finally let you know how it's working out for us.

Spoiler alert: Baby Blue loves it.

We've been using the breathable nest since the day we brought baby Blue home from the hospital and we've been amazed at how much it's already helped. As a baby, Archie would almost never be put down, he hated his moses basket and struggled to settle anywhere other than on our laps. Though baby Blue has his moments where he'd rather be held, he's also been allowing us to put him down in the breathable nest and he's even fallen asleep in there without our help on multiple occasions, making life so much easier when I need to do A's bedtime routine ensuring he also gets plenty of Mummy time. Blue's been sleeping much better at night than we recall with little A, giving us a good 3-4 hour stretch on a good night between feeds and I honestly believe it's down to our breathable nest keeping him cosy and snug at night.

The breathable nest can also be used for daytime naps and tummy time when baby gets a little older. I've also heard about parents using them as a way of transitioning baby from crib to cot which we'll also do as baby Blue gets a little older and outgrows his co-sleeper. It's also naturally breathable, hypo-allergenic and anti-bacterial (great for us, as we're a bit of a sneezy family!) and you can purchase an extra cover to ensure you can keep it clean for baby. I'm interested to see how things will evolve as baby Blue gets a little older and how he is when we use the nest for tummy time so I'll be sharing our journey and other fab PurFlo products for as long as we're lucky to work with them.

Disclosure; We were sent the PurFlo Breathable Nest in exchange for an open and honest review and because of our role as brand ambassadors; all opinions are 100% honest and what we actually think (pinky promise).
