A trip to the Pumpkin Patch

It feels like October is flying a little too quickly this year and last year we picked up our pumpkins so late we never actually got around to carving them, so this year we're well ahead of the game! We wrapped up in our cosies this weekend and had a lovely time at Millets Farm, not only choosing our big pumpkin and little pumpkin, but seeing the farm animals (or screaming at the farm animals, in Jesse's case) and playing on the park — a fab morning out for the price of a pumpkin.

We even managed to get out of the house before 10am which is nothing short of a miracle.
This month we have something planned for almost every single day Mr J is off (some just monotonous things like dentist and school visits, but also Halloween trails and Autumn exploring) and I can't wait to log our month now with two mobile little boys (my fear of them running in very separate directions is becoming all too real).

It feels so strange to look back on last year's pumpkin picking adventure and see how much Archie has grown (Jesse Blue was but a tiny babe in arms); how has a whole year passed? I'm looking forward to experiencing more Halloween adventures this month (though we've already ticked the pumpkins and baking cookies off our list, how am I so organised this year?). What are your favourite things to do in the run-up to Halloween or for Autumn?
