Our first thoughts on the drool-worthy Cosatto Giggle 2 travel system!
With a potential zero days to go, I'm finally introducing my travel system of choice for baby #2. Every now & then, I get to review some freakin' awesome products via my blog and I may have done a little hop, skip & jump when Winstanleys Pramworld offered me the chance to try out this one (hopping, skipping & jumping not to be taken lightly in late pregnancy either).
Cosatto are a hugely well-known brand amongst the parenting world, firstly because, who hasn't walked past a pushchair or a car seat with a super bright and hella fun print and thought ah man, I want one of those! - that was my first reaction to seeing a Cosatto product at least. We all know, they look fan-dabby-dozy, but what else do they have to offer? I'll be conducting a full review on the Giggle 2 for 9 months & forever once baby #2 is more than a jiggle in my tummy, but for now, here are our first impressions.
PUTTING IT TOGETHER_
Hands up who uses the swear-o-meter to gauge how tricky a product is for their other half to put together - well, this one gained a grand total of 0 SWEARS from myself and my other half (always handy when there's a toddler in the room). I'm not kidding when I say we popped it together in minutes after barely skimming the instructions. The chassis is the easiest of any pushchair I've used to put up and down and the carrycot and pushchair click right in with minimal effort (something that is oh-so necessary when you're 8 months pregnant and the size of a small planet).
ANYTHING WE DON'T LOVE_
- Big butts.
On almost every product, there are things that people would change; whether it's beneficial to the product itself or not. I'd say the chassis is quite large but it is no larger than any others we've tried and I think it probably has to be to accomodate the various items it needs to carry (carrycot, car seat etc.)
- Big feet.
The brake is situated in the centre of the bar at the bottom of the chassis and Mr J has accidentally knocked it on a few times whilst walking and got a tad miffed. I haven't managed it myself yet, so I put it down to his humongous feet.
& THE THINGS WE DO LOVE_
- It's. so. pretty.
Some may know by now that I'm a bit suckered in by things that look good; as a graphic designer, I love bright colours, gorgeous designs and anything that can add a splash of fun to life and that's definitely a Cosatto trait.
- Ease of use.
Anything that I am able to work without being shown by the Mr first time round, is usually a winner. Plus, at almost 8 months pregnant, I've still been able to get it out & up myself.
Obviously, once there's an actual baby in the picture again (who could arrive any time between now and 10 days from now I suspect), and we've really put the Giggle 2 through it's paces, we'll be conducting a full-blown review for the fab folks over at 9 months & forever, but for now you can shop the Giggle 2 here:
