Last year was my first with both boys well on-the-move, the first where I could really take joy in photographing them chasing through piles of fallen leaves, collecting conkers and clambering over forgotten tree trunks. I'd say it was my favourite Autumn thus far, thanks to the impending excitement of holidays to come, teamed with the joy of getting comfortably wrapped up warm without the freezing temperatures or icy conditions, it felt humbling.

I've spent the latter part of this year stocking up on jumpers, raincoats and jackets (now with the knowledge that good Winter staples can last them years) and discovering some firm favourites I won't tire of seeing in each and every photograph for the next few months. Recently we experienced our first real wet & windy day since Summer ended and it was my first chance to get them in a few of our current favourites, including Jesse's stunning faux-fur teddy jacket by Maed for Mini (definitely got growing room!) and Archie's Bobo Choses raincoat (great for water ride protection), plus the super warm Iglo + Indi jumper peeking from beneath it.
