Motherhood in Autumn — The Ordinary Moments #14
Happy Autumn! I've been shortlisted for a best photography award and yet I still only just discovered the benefits of shooting in RAW and it's actually changed everything about how I edit my photos. If I could give one tip to those just starting out with a DSLR, it would be shoot in RAW now and don't figure out how good it is a year later like me. *facepalm* I've been desperate to get a shot of me with my boys so we headed out to the local park recently and I got Mumsy to come along in an attempt to capture some! Am I the only one who wishes they could take and be in a picture at once? I'm such a perfectionist and I love my Mama, but it was hard work trying to teach her how to get a good shot of the three of us together (you know, with our heads entirely in the shot)..
I adore these Next fox dungarees and you might be able to spot that both of my boys have a pair. I always said I'd never be that Mum and twin my kids but OH MAN, I LOVE TWINNING MY KIDS. It's only because Archie is so dinky (fits into 1.5-2 clothes!) that I was able to buy them both a pair of these and it's been so weird putting A in a popper vest when he's potty trained, poor thing! Totally worth it for how adorable they are though. There's a quote I came across lately which pretty much sums up how I feel about motherhood in one line and I'd like to leave this post here—
"Motherhood is a choice you make everyday, to put someone else's happiness and well-being ahead of your own, to teach the hard lessons, to do the right thing even when you're not sure what the right thing is.. and to forgive yourself, over and over again, for doing everything wrong."
