A hot hot day in the life
The weather is something we love to comment on as Brits; it's the best awkward conversation-filler and usually sounds something like "wet today, isn't it?" but the tables have turned entirely and it's "so bloody hot!". It tells you something that even though it's July, the majority of us are still utterly shocked by the heatwave we're experiencing (that's a normal Summer to most people, right?), and I am trying my hardest not to moan about it (another very British trait). The lazy mornings have continued, the post-breakfast train track building remains in place, as well as the weekly visits to my grandparents and the endless visits to the park, they're just all done with less clothes and more sweat. So, here's one of our days in July, fraught with ice-creams and suncream instead of jackets and emergency umbrellas.
I enjoy recording our days through photography each month and developing my skills by capturing the normal stuff (always the biggest challenge), but I love being able to share it with a group of wonderfully inspiring fellow bloggers, women & photographers who regularly inspire me and offer brilliant advice.
