Hello Autumn!

Hello, Autumn. I've never been one to particularly appreciate seasons, besides the obvious of looking forward to a little warmth once Winter subsides or a crisp breeze at the peak of Summer. Before, they've all just passed me by without much of a thought besides preparing for the big holidays, the birthdays, Halloweens & Christmases. But this one feels different.

This year, I couldn't wait for Autumn and it may have become my favourite season of all. There's something so magical about the leaves falling and how the beautiful shades of orange, yellow and brown translate onto photos. Some of my favourite shots have been taken during Autumn because it's still mostly warm enough to not wear a jacket at times and enjoy the outdoors but still cooler enough to wear beautiful knits and wooly hats.
I'd also never experienced pumpkin picking until last year and can't quite wait for a repeat this year (how can something as unappealing as simply picking a pumpkin be so much fun?) and with Halloween and Bonfire Night around the corner, there's just a sense of magic in the air.

I wake up each morning excited for the day, for my boys, for opportunities that haven't yet come, for the photos and videos I can't wait to create, the memories to be recorded. That's without even mentioning the cosy evenings curled up under a blanket with a hot chocolate whilst the rain falls against the windows.
I love it.
