Happy Easter! A Weekend Catch-Up
We had a really busy weekend celebrating Easter and drowning in chocolate (not that Mummy doesn't do that all year round whilst hiding in the kitchen), I hope you all had an eventful time too! Mr J was working Good Friday and Saturday, but he was off Easter Sunday and Monday so we made the most of those days and basked in the glorious sunshine. Here's an image dump of our gorgeous weekend, mostly for me, so I can sit and reminisce whilst I'm at work sipping a cocktail of vitamins and gazing at a computer screen.
On Easter Sunday, Mr J, Fin, Archie & I (plus Nanny & Grandad) took a trip to Stratford-Upon-Avon and spent the day walking around and admiring all of the quirky, cute little shops and touristing (definitely should be a word) over Shakespeare. Dad and I especially, love history so we spend most of the time drooling over seriously ancient buildings and daydreaming about living in the past, though Finley was really interested in learning about Shakespeare's life too.
We had a fab day stroking owls, walking by the canal, buying Bailey and Terry's chocolate orange flavoured fudge, eating out, learning about Shakespeare's life, chasing huge bubbles, playing in the water fountain, buying sweets, pointing and laughing at the helium balloons (Archie), attempting to run into the canal (Archie) and picking our nose at the dinner table (Archie).
On Monday, we were invited to a family BBQ at Mr J's parents house which was great as A got to see some of his cousins, including 9 month old, Aiden and 1 year old, Oliver, who A hasn't previously seen very often. It was a completely unexpected beautiful day hence A's complete mishmash of clothes; we didn't expect to need suncream and sun hats! It was lovely to spend the day outside and made us even more excited to get the decking built in our own garden over the next few weeks!
Now it's back to reality (though the weather's supposed to remain nice for the rest of the week), back to work and back to making apps and graphics for me! What did you get up to over Easter? How long will your haul of chocolate last? We've barely made a dent in our collection! Speaking of chocolate, if you haven't already, check out our review for The Happy Mail, they do some amazing gift packages that you'll definitely want to see.
