So, I hear it snowed.

Oh, hi! This year has been crazy for us thus far with home renovations, so much illness [for all of us] and the priority of my design business taking the forefront (I have a brand spanking new portfolio → visit here). My blog took a back seat whilst I was figuring it all out, but I know it was for the best; now I've realised design is the main route I want to take for work, it means the pressure is off for blogging. This is somewhere I want to continue to work on to record and preserve our memories, but I also know that one day my boys may not want to be included anymore and when that day comes, I'll still have a focus and passion of my own in design.

For now, I want to share the pictures we took of the beautiful (and completely unexpected) snow that arrived a couple of weeks ago. It snowed just as intensely on the day my brother passed away 9 years ago and it's something I thought I'd never be happy to see the sight of again. I also didn't realise that having children can change the way you view everything; the way they're able to ease our grief and help us to enjoy things that we thought we'd lost for good. From Jesse constantly flopping down in the snow that was so deep he was barely visible to Archie's abnormally good snowball aim, I loved the snow's arrival (though I'm thankful it didn't outstay it's welcome this time).

Did you know I'm a graphic designer too? If you're looking for help to brand your business or make your blog beautiful, check out my portfolio!
