Fashion Friday; What Did The Fox Say? // 019
Happy Saturday! It's a late Fashion Friday this week as unfortunately we've been landed with a very unhappy, poorly toddler and boy, is he letting us know it. It all started with a slight temp a few days ago ("Ah, I see another little bugger popping through his gum, must be teething, dear!") to a high temp teamed with the shivers and extreme grumpiness ("It's never just bloody teething, is it dear!").
Two GP visits plus alot of piss on our clothes, hands, surfaces, windows (Have you ever tried playing 'catch the piss' with a naked toddler?) later, we're told there's no infection so we still have no answers (but alot of cleaning up to do). Can you believe they're asking us to indulge in another round of 'catch the piss' just to make sure? Here's hoping we can beat our personal best of 0.7ml of urine next time.
Before the storm really took hold (when we were wishfully thinking the slight fever might still just be the teeth), we had a couple of nice days in the garden and here's A wearing possibly the best hat I've ever seen. This foxy hat by Joules was a gift from his Auntie and it is flipping awesome. I'm also completely in love with the Next t-shirt he's wearing, it's a beautiful cream colour with lots of multi-coloured speckles, plus it was part of a 4-pack with 3 other lovely Summery tops, score!
I have to rave about this polo shirt, also from Next (I call it a rugby top, but Mr J tells me it's a rowing top), because it's so adorable! I've noticed they have none left in-store anymore so I'm wondering if it's because it's been so popular. I love little boys with their collars up and I'd been looking for a top like this for A for ages so I snapped this one up and I'm so glad I did. A's lovely grey trousers are also from Next (I know, I know, I should really just be a brand ambassador!) and are great for this odd in-between weather we've been having (too cold for shorts, too warm for jeans!).
I'd also like to scream from the blogosphere that I'm only a flipping BritMums BiBs finalist! I was completely shocked when I found out I had been shortlisted for the Fresh Voice award and to find out that I'm now a finalist is the most amazing news and completely unexpected. I just want to send a huge thankyou to everyone who took the time to vote for me, I'm so grateful and I'm so excited to go to the awards ceremony next month! Congratulations to my fellow finalists, I'm looking forward to meeting you all as well as the other bloggers I admire so much, see you there!
