Fashion Friday; Let Me Be Your Teddy Bear // 039
I'm so glad it's almost the weekend, especially because today we met my friend's 10 day old baby boy (who is gorgeous) and yet it still doesn't feel real that we'll be getting one of those soon ourselves.
On to the fashion; I found this off-shoulder bear romper on the very addictive Wish app (don't get it), which features some pretty awesome and seriously cheap products (amongst some rubbish). If you're willing to sift through the crap, you can find some absolute gems (I also got these fox socks via the app for those who're curious). I've been looking for short-sleeve rompers for A with Spring on it's way and the material on this is really soft and just the right thickness which makes it super comfy for him to wear (plus it's so cute).
I figured I'd also talk a bit of photography spiel as I've been paying much more attention to my camera settings and upping my game a bit recently. I get asked alot about my photography/editing etc. so I thought it'd make sense to sharewhat I've done every rather than getting hung up on the huge post I intend to write (that never seems to happen).
I use a Nikon D3300 with a 35mm lens and though I do use manual mode as much as humanly possible, from the off I was pretty much guessing which settings to use but thankfully I've started to get the hang of it now. For the bear romper shots above, we get some beautiful rays of light into our living room on sunny mornings so I always try and take advantage of them.
With indoor photography, such as the below, I tend to use ƒ1.8 (the lowest setting with my 35 lens) to get as much light into the shot as possible (I never use flash) and I always use VSCOcam on the iPhone to edit my photos. I use either the T1 filter or 02 for black and white shots, and I amend the exposure if necessary, sharpness, temperature, vignette and fade on every shot. This gives all my photos a uniform look, and a faded/retro feel.
Avid readers of Fashion Friday will know that I absolutely love a romper which is why I've featured two this week; we've had this Little Bird one for probably almost a year now and it's only really fit A in the last few months (even though I think it's sized 9-12 months). We're getting the use out of it now whilst we can, before Summer comes along and there's a whole new range of short rompers we'll have to indulge in!
I also may have some pretty exciting news over the next couple of weeks, but it's all very hush-hush and may not even pan out yet, but if it does, it'll be very exciting for Archie!
