Fashion Friday; ft. A Special Guest // 009
Another week has flown by in the blink of an eye and it's time for #fashionfriday again already! This week, Archie's joined by his beautiful baby cousin, Aiden, whose the most charming, laid-back little boy and who also happens to look fabulous in everything. As Aiden is 6 months younger than Archie (though doesn't look it), he gets lots of the clothes that Archie has outgrown and it's great being able to see him in outfits that Archie has previously worn, though it does bring on a wave of nostalgia that my little man is growing up fast!
Archie has just started to really notice Aiden over the past few months and will now push his bum (if Archie could talk, he'd say he was helping him to crawl) and steal his toys. He also tries to pick him up by his top and pats him on the head (and pokes his face). Chilled-out Aiden mostly lets him get on with it but gets upset when A is a bit too rough! It's pretty handy that they're so close in age; we all look forward to them running around making mischief together.
Little Bircher is wearing a gorgeous George grandad top (part of a 2-pack and also a bargain at £4 in the sale!), and some cute & comfortable F&F jeans by Tesco. Archie is wearing a footless football all-in-one from George; I'm always on the lookout for warm, footless all-in-ones as A tends to slip on our wooden floors if his feet are covered.
A has been sleeping amazingly well recently, most nights managing 7pm - 7am, so I'm amazed he still looks tired in these photos! The nights must've been milder recently as A's room isn't getting as chilly so he's been wearing short sleeves to bed (bring on Spring!). We've now moved him from a 2.5 tog gro-bag to a junior Silent Nights duvet too which seems to make him so cosy; he's out like a light the minute he hits his mattress.
A's t-shirt is Little Bird by Mothercare in size 18-24 months. I've found they have very small heads on them so even in a bigger size, we struggle to get them over A's slightly bigger-than-average noggin; he tends to fit size 12-18 months in all other brands so just something to note (I'm sure average heads wouldn't be a problem). A's bottoms are part of a Converse tracksuit that we picked up at TK Maxx.
This Little Bird jacket has lasted us for ages, you can even spot it in 'Archie's First Holiday' post when he was only 7 months old; now, at almost 15 months, it still fits him great, so he's had alot of wear out of it. A's sweatshirt, (also Little Bird) we managed to catch in the sale recently, for a bargain price.
The one thing I really wanted to rave about this week are A's shoes! They're made by a brand called Attipas and they're odd little things; they look very much like clown shoes, but are fantastic! They're almost like socks, and look just as comfortable, as the soles are bendy and flexible, as opposed to the usual hard soles which can be more difficult for new walkers to get a hang of - A tends to just lift and clomp his feet in other shoes. Find out more about the benefits at the Attipas website, but I'd highly recommend them! We have 2 pairs now, red and grey sneakers, and they go up to a size UK 4.5.
