Fashion Friday; Better Late Than Never // 010
horrendous, traumatic, literally swimming in poo (antibiotic side-effect), week this has been! If you've been keeping up with our posts, you'll know that Archie fell very ill around a week and a half ago and ended up in hospital (read more about that awful night here) and though he seemed on the mend for a few days, he deteriorated yesterday and after rushing him back to the doctors with a temp of 39.3° that wouldn't break (even with the help of calpol and nurofen), he was diagnosed with a post-viral croup-like infection, which is just great (not).
He's been prescribed a type of steroid for a few days and though he's not sleeping much (due to the awful, barking cough), he appears to be improving. Unfortunately, he's been deceivingly up & down all week, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed until he's been healthy for a good few days, maybe then we can relax! Thanks for all the lovely messages and for those that have shared their own experiences; I hope all of your babies are on the mend too.
I digress, this gorgeous cardigan was a present for A from his Nanny & Grandad – bought at a quaint market stall along the canal of Stratford-Upon-Avon. It's so unique and intricate, I felt we had to feature it this week! My friend also happens to have a beautiful pink/purple one for her little girl, so they're also perfect for little ladies. Unfortunately, you'll have to take a trip to Stratford-Upon-Avon to pick one up yourself!
I also had a bit of an American Apparel splurge last weekend as they had a final sale on some of their clothes and being a huge fan of AA, I know how gorgeous their basics are, so I whipped up some Infant Baby Rib Short Sleeve Lap T's and Infant Flex Fleece Pant's for little A at an absolute bargain price (as if you're not aware, AA can be very pricey).
How comfy does this get-up look? A has been lounging in comfy clothes all week as he hasn't been feeling well and this AA outfit is perfect for that. I have a pair of Unisex Flex Fleece Sweatpants from the adult range, which I adore, so I knew these would be lovely & soft for A (nb. I love that they do miniature versions for babies!).
I bought A's Infant Baby Rib Short Sleeve Lap T's in the asphalt and olive colours and the olive is especially gorgeous; the pictures don't do it justice. It's vibrant and one of my favourite colours as it looks so beautiful on blondies (especially miniature ones)! They also fit great with lots of wiggle room and I even treated A to a Infant Flex Fleece Zip Hoodie to match his bottoms (not pictured - also gorgeously soft inside).
Did you know I'm a graphic designer too? If you're looking for help to brand your business or make your blog beautiful, check out my portfolio!
