It’s been an odd few weeks readjusting to ‘normality’ since the end of Summer and somehow a little disappointing too. I thought I’d enjoy being back to the old routine but the disappearance of warmth has left me a little melancholy, quite something as a self-confessed sunshine-hater (not for vampiric reasons though, promise). I only became a full-time stay-at-home Mum a few weeks before the holidays began too, so we're all still adjusting to such a huge change.

This little photoshoot is one of my favourites as Jesse turned a giant one this past August and I dedicated it entirely to him. I wanted to capture him in all his boddler glory before he inevitably grows up and leaves us forever *sobs*.

I used to be one of those working Mum's daydreaming about being at home with the kids; thinking about how wonderful it would be but actually, stripping the last of your weekly adult interaction takes a strong person. Being a stay-at-home Mum is one of the most difficult jobs I've ever taken on (though equally as rewarding) and deserves more recognition and chocolate, Mr Hello Archie.

I've lost my oomph a little recently, my motivation and my mind (I've never had so many in-depth conversations about Iggle-Piggle and why he's allowed to take his blanket everywhere before) but I'm hoping it returns shortly because I hate when my blog and channel fall behind after putting so much work into them over the past year.

This week, I was included in a lovely post—6 family lifestyle blogs to read when you're lacking inspiration—by the lovely Kirsty over at Life with Boys, and it made me realise that if just one single person takes joy from the moments and memories I share, then it's all worth it in the end.

Next weekend sees the Brilliance in Blogging awards and I'm an actual finalist for the photo category, so I'm keeping everything crossed that I could be in with a chance, wish me luck!
