Beauty Review: Roux Fanci-Full Mousse in Silver Lining

Happy end of week! You may notice there's no Fashion Friday this week; I've decided to vary posts between weeks as I'm not always feeling fashionably inspired and I only want to share the very best finds with you all, plus it's a step in the direction of filtering out the A posts and moving the blog into lifestyle and home. Don't worry, parenting won't be disappearing by any means, this blog will just cover more genres. Now, onto the matter at hand..

If you caught up with my previous post — The Granny Hair Trend - How to Get Silvery/Grey Locks — you'll know I've recently had a complete hair makeover and the intention was to go grey. I managed to go to a really white/ashy blonde in one sitting but didn't achieve the silvery/grey colour I was looking for so I've decided to try out a few products and see what happens!

Beauty Review: Roux Fanci-Full Mousse in Silver Lining

This week, I was recommended Roux Fanci-Full Temporary Hair Color Mousse - #42 - Silver Lining 175 ml by a friend who used to have silver hair. It's a temporary colour mousse that needs to be applied after shampooing, to towel-dried hair, and rinses out with every wash. It comes in a series of different colours (most people tend to use it to touch-up their roots whilst growing their hair out) but I decided to try out silver lining to turn my ash blonde hair into more of a silvery grey colour. There's also a darker grey colour called true steel that I'm planning on using next time, for a darker outcome.

For 'before' pics, check out my previous post. My hair was pretty white/ashy and still had alot of blonde showing through underneath. Here's the outcome after using Roux Fanci-Full Temporary Hair Color Mousse - #42 - Silver Lining 175 ml..

Excuse the bathroom selfies — it's the best room for natural lighting in our house

I sectioned my hair to apply the mousse and did use slightly too much — a little bit goes along way and one can will last for ages, even on my long, thick hair. It was easy to apply, I just ran a handful through each section and combed it through thoroughly. The mousse is then left in the hair to dry and that's it! I'm pretty happy with the outcome, it's definitely evened out the colour and it now looks silver, rather than a pale ash blonde.
