A trip to the Lavender Farm {To Adventure #5}

To experience adventure is to experience something new and unexpected. On the premise of this, we recently visited a Lavender Farm for the very first time and it was beautiful. I've always had a unbridled love of flowers; I think I find peace in shooting something relatively still when I'm used to the hustle bustle of picturing very active children. The boys loved playing hide'n'seek and playing amongst the wildflowers and I loved documenting our morning.

Both of them are changing so much recently and approaching Jesse's first birthday is ultimately bittersweet. There's a good chance he could be our last; the last newborn toes I kiss, the last nappy I change, the last tiny sleepsuit worn. On the other hand, to see him grow so rapidly and thrive in his first year has been wonderful; to see the differences and the similarities between him and his brother and to parent a second child has been difficult and wonderful all at the same time.

To be given that second chance at breastfeeding and to still be in the throes of it heading into his second year of life; to have the experience of parenting one child but the wonderful unknown of bringing up another and to witness a bond between brothers who sometimes fight and sometimes love. It's been so hard at times, but so fantastic in others and I wouldn't change a second of it.
Link up your own everyday adventures with us; they can be anything from an exciting day out to just a normal lazy day at home that had something ordinarily magical about it. There are no rules, but it'd be lovely if you could comment on this post and if we could all share the love on a few of each other's posts to give everyone a boost; feel free to add the badge if you fancy and I'll always share your wonderful posts via Twitter if you want to mention me (@helloarchie_).
